The founder of Baron Art Gallery, Rusmin Bintoro was born in Blora,Central Java-Indonesia in 1952.

In 1989, after several years of working in many kinds of business trades, he decided to open a jewelry store in Gajah Mada in Jakarta from the years of 1989-91. His multi talents and hard work brought him to a higher level of the business trade.

In 1991-current, he changed his career from a jeweler to do some real estate and property development in Jakarta and West Java.

In 1998, he moved to Bali shortly after the Jakarta riots of 14th -15th May 1998. He fell in love with the island after only 2 weeks. During his visit, he became interested in wood fossils that he discovered in Bali and Central Java. He decided to open a gallery to exhibit his love of fossils.

In 2006- current, he resides in both Jakarta and Bali.

Petrified woods has became one of his hobbies and passions. He searched to the main sources almost in all islands in Indonesia like Java,Sumatra, and Kalimantan.
With his dedication to Art, he appreciates and learns anything related to art. To him, Art is Life and Life is an Art.


One time he stated,

No matter what your dream is or what you do, as long as you put your heart and soul to reach your dream, it will come true. Luck, is no longer needed.
